Drawing on over 40 years of electrical engineering experience in the building and construction industry, RNM Engineering provides a wide variety of electrical engineering services ranging from detailed engineering design of building electrical systems including Tittle 24 compliance ; Lighting and building system control design and commissioning, LEED energy audits and construction review. Richard Miller, President of RNM Engineering regularly develops and presents training courses and seminars on Lighting and Electrical systems.
RNM Engineering provides electrical engineering design for commercial, light industrial, and residential buildings, including detailed electrical plans, load calculations, short circuit and coordination studies, Title 24 analysis, and arc flash analysis.
RNM Engineering has been providing LEED compliant commissioning of electrical and lighting systems since 2003. Services include LEED prerequisite for lighting controls. Lighting control systems for energy efficiency are a specialty of RNM Engineering. The scope of lighting services provided by RNM Engineering includes design, review, measurement, and verification.
RNM Engineering has been providing LEED compliant commissioning of electrical and lighting systems since 2003. Services include LEED prerequisite for lighting controls, LEED enhanced for review of electrical and lighting design documents and system readiness and functional performance testing, and client enhanced systems such as generator paralleling and load control switchgear, uninterruptible power systems, and power monitoring and control systems.
Mr. Miller earned his LEED® AP credential in 2002 and works extensively on energy efficiency projects both large and small for private and government contractors.
Peer review of design and construction documents in electrical and lighting systems for commercial, retail and light industrial buildings.
Richard Miller, Founder and President of RNM Engineering has been providing continuing education training in Lighting and Electrical systems since 1985. He has taught full and short courses at the Chicago Lighting Institute, PG&E Pacific Energy Center, Electrical Training Institute, LightFair, Sacramento Municipal Utility District, and Southern California Edison. He has given educational presentations to IEEE, IES and CalPoly on on-going and regular basis.
